Sporting Clube de Goa and Goa Velha Sports Club eked out a 1-1 draw in the Kingfisher Pro League match at Tilak Stadium, Vasco on Thursday. Sporting were leading 1-0 at the breather.

Agnelo D’Souza made no mistake in the 26th minute as he found the mark off a pass from Kenji Arai to give Sporting the lead.

Crossing over, Goa Velha equalised through the boots of Donald Rocha in the 72nd minute.

A tense situation was created on the ground when referee Sunil Nanodkar flashed two yellow cards to Donald Rocha of Goa Velha. Donald was issued the first yellow card soon after he equalised and the second yellow card was flashed when there were few minutes left for the final whistle and the player was found arguing with the referee. This subsequently forced the referee to issue marching orders to Donald. The referee also flashed yellow cards to U-20 player Joyner Lourenco, Zico Costa, Trevor Dias and Mario Mascarenhas of Goa Velha while one yellow card was issued to Nathaniel Amos of Sporting Clube de Goa.
